Tech YouTuber Admits 'Things Have Been Crazy,' Issues Soulful Apology For 'Not Posting In Forever'
In a heartfelt 3-minute video filmed in soft natural lighting with a carefully blurred RGB-lit gaming setup in the background, popular tech YouTuber MaxByte returned to his channel Thursday to offer a tearfully sincere apology for what fans are calling “an entire 11 days without content.”
“Things have just been… crazy,” MaxByte said, eyes glazed with the burden of updating his MacBook’s firmware and trying to remember his Notion password. “I owe you guys an explanation. I’ve been dealing with… stuff. Important, serious stuff. Like, I had to reinstall Final Cut Pro. Twice.”
The video, aptly titled "I’m Sorry 😔 Life Got Wild", opened with soft piano music and closed with drone footage of a sunset over a tech conference MaxByte didn’t attend but did find stock footage of. Midway through, he included clips from his last 17 uploads, stating, “I’m proud of this journey, even if the journey took a spontaneous sabbatical.”
Fans responded with a tidal wave of support in the comments section. “Take all the time you need king, we’ll always be here,” wrote one viewer. Another added, “Bro went to war with his external SSD and survived. RESPECT.”
MaxByte has promised a full return to his irregular upload schedule, starting with a video review of a $3,000 USB-C cable “that probably changes lives.”
Critics have accused the video of being a calculated ploy to reset the YouTube algorithm’s wrath, to which MaxByte replied, “I’ve just been focusing on myself, the brand deals, and spiritual growth.”
More updates are expected, assuming he doesn't need another digital detox after realizing he accidentally filmed the whole thing in 720p.
