HOLLYWOOD — Riding high on his current hot streak with starring roles in Fallout, The White Lotus Season 3, and his cult-favorite turn as Baby Billy in The Righteous Gemstones, Walton Goggins has decided it’s time to truly bare all—literally.
In a dramatic announcement held poolside at a minimalist resort in Malibu (where he may or may not have been in character), Goggins confirmed he will debut a Netflix special titled “Goggins: Full Aperture.” The event, which will stream live and uncensored, promises to feature the actor’s actual anus as a “statement piece” of performance art.
“I’ve given you The Ghoul, I’ve given you Rick Hatchett, I’ve given you Baby Billy—but now, I give you everything,” Goggins intoned, standing barefoot on a yoga mat. “This is me unmasked. This is the final frontier of Emmy-worthy vulnerability.”
Netflix has greenlit the project with a reportedly unprecedented budget and described it as “provocative, raw, and surprisingly tasteful.” One executive noted, “It’s the logical conclusion to the Peak TV era. After this, there’s nowhere to go but back to network procedurals.”
Goggins, who’s recently been praised for his turn as the radioactive, undead bounty hunter "The Ghoul" in Fallout, insists this is part of his broader artistic evolution. “I’ve played a man with no nose in a post-nuke hellscape, and a horny televangelist uncle. This is more challenging than both. This is my ass hole.”
Critics who attended an early preview screening (in VR) described the event as “hauntingly honest,” “a metaphor for Hollywood transparency,” and “shockingly symmetrical.”
Buzz is building fast. The teaser trailer—just 12 seconds of Goggins smirking while ominous cello music swells—has already racked up 18 million views and caused at least one philosophy major to take a meeting with his academic advisor.
Goggins' fans, affectionately known as “The Goggles,” have rallied on social media under the hashtag #RearwardVision, while merch sales for the official Goggins: Full Aperture branded eye masks have already sold out.
When asked if he worried about this affecting his legacy, Goggins responded, “Legacy is what they say after you’re gone. This is what I say while I’m still here—and boy, are they gonna talk.”
